Nationals 2015 - Cypress, TX

Our nationals journey started last Wednesday morning at 2:30 in the morning as the team left for the Dayton Airport. We had 22 A team skiers compete over the weekend and a few B team skiers made the long drive down to support us. Many alumni also came down to cheer us on and even Libby Van Treese made a special appearance. The team also brought a ton of spirit with 3 inflatable shamus, 6 dolphins, and a wearable landshark suit. Our spirit game was on point the entire weekend and the team was featured multiple times on the live webcast.

The team placed 4th overall in Division 2. Huge congrats to Senior Maddie Lenz for placing 4th in the women's trick event. Women's trick placed 1st overall. Ashley Balda also placed 7th in the best women's skiers overall. The team was sad to leave the 90 degree weather in Cypress, but we could not have asked for a more memorable few days.
