2013 Season Summary

The Miami Universtiy Waterski Team has had quite the successful season so far!

The first tournament took place at their practice site, Skier's Runway, in Ross, Ohio where they placed second overall. The second tournament of the season was held in Van Wert, Ohio where the team made history in the first tie in history with the University of Cincinatti for first place! The next tournament was conference, which was also held in Van Wert where the team took third place.

Most recently, this past weekend the team traveled to Decatur, Illinois for the Midwest Regional Tournament. The team placed 3rd overall, guarenteeing them a spot at the 2013 National Tournament for the second year in a row, and EVER! The team also came home with a trophy for Regional Spirit Award for the second year in a row. In addition, our women's team placed second overall!

We also had three skiers come home with individual awards:

David Dalton: 5th overall Men's Slalom

Emily Van Treese: 1st overall Women's Trick

Reid Postle: 5th overall Men's Trick

Nationals will take place in El Centro, California beginning on October 17th.
