Spring Break 2018
We had so much fun on our trip this past week!
We had three seniors, four juniors, three sophomores and two freshman with us on the trip.
We spent the week skiing at Swiss Waterski School in Clermont, Florida. We had 12 skiers come down and we skied for four days. Two of our new freshman skiers ran the course for the first time ever and we also had some other slalom skiers setting new PBs as well! We also had 3-4 skiers who spent time jumping on spring break, getting some great feedback and becoming more consistent and comfortable on Big Red.
Favorite Moments: My personal favorite part of spring break was getting to spend time in the boat listening to Clint and Franz coach our skiers. Being able to bring back some of their knowledge to share with our other skiers will be so beneficial!
I also loved getting to hang out lakeside with my teammates, as if it was tournament season again!
Junior slalom skier Madison said her favorite moment was getting to try out trick skiing and watching everyone around her improve so much.
Junior jump skier, Kevin said his favorite moment was getting to start learning to 3/4 cut.
On our day off some of our skiers headed to Disney World while the rest of the team spent the day at the beach hanging out in the sun.
Overall, I think that our spring break trip to Florida gave us the opportunity to improve our skills, do our favorite things and hang out with one another. The warm weather was an improvement to the cold weather we just arrived back to in Ohio!
We are incredibly excited to get the boat in the lake and start skiing in just a few weeks!!
